Damn long overdue birdpark pictorial :D

Welcome to The Bird Park! Introducing our hosts for today from left we have Christine! In the middle, Sam and in pink, Peishan! Our lovely and friendly hosts will guide you through this online tour of the Bird Park!

First up, parrots! Erm, there are blue and red parrots. Also green ones (not pictured, cause we didn’t take photos of it)

Parrots are small creatures. To give you an idea of the scale, Sam and Chris have kindly agreed to pose along side the parrots to show you just how small they are! (Disregard the small boy on the right)

Too much walking especially under the sun is bad for the skin! So that’s why you should always rest (by sitting near the fountain as demonstrated by our friendly hosts) or bring an umbrella! (which is so troublesome..)

Then we look at penguins! Did you know? Emperor Penguins can grow up to human size! That’s a little known fact!! Chris and Sam has again, kindly agreed to pose with them to show how large they can be.

(Note – I’m lying)

Ok! Next proceed to the suspension bridge! Be careful as it can be shaky. But once you are in the middle of the bridge, be sure to pose for a picture as erm… it’s a good photo opportunity! =D

From one bridge to another, take a walk on the wooden bridge towards Swan Lake! Okay, there are no swans in the picture, but this picture shows how green the water is! And also shows the back view of Chris and Peishan!

Don’t be disappointed if you don’t see swans, there are still flamingoes! Chris goes into Vanna White mode as she showcases the flamingoes!

Or you can also take photos with fake flamingoes! You can stand nearer to them and there is a higher chance they won’t peck you on the head or something like that! =)

Welcome back!

A short public service announcement!

Don’t eat fishes!

Cause it makes Chris and Peishan sad… :/

(Yes, Chris is aware she looks totally weird in this photo)

Our next feathered friend are the emus! Peishan’s favourite bird. Peishan introduces Ernie the emu!

Everyone loves Ernie the emu… look at the excitement on the faces of Peishan and Chris… but wait is that excitement on Chris’s face or … shock?

Gahhhh!!! Shock!

Ernie the emu goes mad and starts to attack!

Let’s look at something more tame, shall we? Like these little birds, which I’ve forgotten the name to. Let’s just call them BirdSpeciesA or BSA in short. BSA is brightly coloured, small and looks so cartoon-y and cute! How can anyone resist? It’s exceedingly chirpy too! (which can be a bit irritating)

Still reeling from shock, Chris doesn’t really take well to the BSAs. Peishan, on the other hand, looks serenely at the birds. Good news! If you don’t make any sudden movement, the birds won’t attack!

Let’s take another break! Sam, Chris and Peishan shall show you some facial exercises you can do to promote blood circulation in the face.

Tada! Note – don’t try Sam’s expression for a prolonged period of time as it may cause your mouth to be permanently puckered =p

Alright back to birds!

Flamingoes. AGAIN.

But look! A brand new spanking glass house, which Chris (in Vanna White mode) showcases. At press time, we don’t know what that building is (or can’t remember what it is. Anyhoo it doesn’t matter.)

Our lovely and gracious hosts stand in front of the world tallest man made waterfall! … only you can’t see the waterfall, cause the photographer didn’t tilt the camera vertical. But you don’t care about the waterfall, do you? What’s important are that our hosts look good in this photo! =)

A last demonstration for today.

How to look excited for a photo!

Look at exhibit A. Chris was criticized for looking restless in this photo. (Even though she was smiling and all *glare at Sam and Peishan)

Let’s see how a minor adjustment can brighten up the photo!

Wheeee!

(Yes Chris is aware, again, that she looks really stupid in this photo)

Before you leave, be sure to check out this hut thingy with weird instruments you can play with! Can’t remember what’s it about, but what’s important is that it’s a photo opportunity!

And also! Be sure to pick up an adorable flamingo toy from the Bird Park gift shop!

Bye! Cya at the Bird Park real soon! =D
