Re: Modelling thingy

Of course, I’m not going for it. I mean, the thing sounds ok and legal and so on. Courses are sponsored by the company and all. 6 weeks training course on every Sunday. I couldn’t even make it for the course as I have organ lessons every Sunday. She was very nice about that, was saying we can postpone the whole thing until after my organ exams are over (about June). Then she goes on to tell me that I’ll have to get 3-inch heels for cat walking (good god), some other thing that I forgot, and a set of professional makeup. There is it. The catch. It’s 550 bucks! Christ. Like I had $550 lying about. I’m broke enough and my pay isn’t that great in the first place. So, I’ve decided to forgo it. I’m very surprised at the number of people who signed up for it though. Quite a number of them.

Anyway, just a thought. I was looking at the photos of the ‘models’ on the board they had there and it surprised me how many of them are actually not very good looking. I mean, Sam and I could take a neoprint and look better than 90% of them who had makeup on. Ok. I’m very conceited. But I’m also very honest.

Dell wants me
I can’t believe I’m so incredibly stupid not to jump ship to Dell computer when I was offered the job. It pays much much more than my current job and the great thing is Bao Ying is there as well; it’s more fun with a friend. Anyway, Elizabeth was really nice, and was like, well if you need a job, you can call me. I’m going to give a serious thought to it. Maybe as a part time thing.
