Rag

As again, I wrote the article for rag. I stayed over the night before for rag too, like last year. I was in school actually and totally bored. Maybe it's me, but it really lacked the buzzing energy rag had 2 hours till drive off last year. It was kind of quiet and still. I was in the clubroom settling some stuff and later Chris drove us to Fongseng for supper. Was with Cher, David and Chris. Later went back for rag. Didn't sleep at all, I hate sleeping on foreign surfaces. Rag day was really fun, but Science faculty's float was really good! I hate to say it, but it looked so hall-ish that I was kind of afraid it might win. But our gold float was really different, and really stood out against the black-ish floats that dominated. And we totally swept all the awards! :D Surprise surprise. And it was too funny. They were giving out the awards and the guest of honour of President SR Nathan. Clubbing music was playing and there Bizad was, just dancing away to the music. It was quite funny, like 'hello, the president of Singapore's there, and here we are, mamboing away!' Haha. Met a lot of seniors too, it was truly great seeing them.

And this is what I wrote for Rag -

What do you get when you have a group of Bizaders who have the hunger to win and
the talent to do just that?

A RAMPAGE, of course.

The annual Rag and Flag was held on the 3rd of August this year. The theme was Rebirth of the Phoenix , and it was certainly exhibited in the intricately designed float creatively designed by our rag team as well as the exhilarating dance performance put up by our rag dancers.

Rag day exhibited the true Bizad spirit as freshmen, seniors and even graduated Bizaders turned up at the SRC early in the morning to show support. Amidst strong competition from other faculties, Bizad once again emerged as the Champion, sweeping away 9 awards in total for Rag and Flag. This is a new record for the faculty, who swept a total of 8 awards last year. The prestigious top honour of the Chancellor’s Shield once again belonged to Bizad.

Not to be forgotten is the Flag Day aspect of Rag and Flag. A strong showing from Bizad on Flag day ensured that Bizad once again won the highest Flag collection; continuing our 14 year tradition.

It was indeed a Bizad Rampage this year!
