Help! I'm a shopoholic! And I can't control myself!

Went our with Sam today to Orch and Beach Road. I just bought a whole batch of stuff today.

Earrings from Cineleisure. A sexy red pencilbox from Heeren. A Diesel bag from Beach Road's army market (which is really cheap too! :D), which can double as my laptop bag. A top from Ebase. Lots of stationery from Kino and Popular. And my MNG top was returned to me, so I got loads of stuff today.

So happy... and tired.

I have morning lecture tomorrow

My god... I like the sound of that. Hahaha...

Hm. I'm still thinking whether to go for the CS party at China Black on Tuesday. But I'll still have Jam and Hop on Thursday... no way Mum would let me go clubbing on 2 weekday nights in a week. Oh and transportation is a huge prob. :( Guess I've to take the cab alone, since no one lives near me. Hmpf.

A short one before I go out to meet Ben. Stupid Ben... said he wanted to meet me, and he doesn't call me back! Hmpf... Oh well. Then I've gp meet Sam to buy a bag. Saw this funky bag shop at Cineleisure yesterday... if I can't find something at the army market today, I'll go over to Cine. Lalala...

Oh... I like corny jokes. It's too sexy. Lol... Only Val and Cher knows why, heh.

Oh yeah... was talking to KengLeong that night before Rag day. I asked him about what Wilfred said about him being disappointed not being able to shake the president's hand that day during open house cause he was talking to me. Lol... I was bored, and it seemed so amusing that he should want to do that so I just asked him. And he gave this really incredulous look, and went 'What!'. Hahaha... Too funny. Wanting to shake the president's hand seemed like something he would want to do actually, so I believed it. Heh.

Oh another thingy that got me laughing was Larry's secret deformed chinese name which he told me and asked me not to spread around. Which naturally I did! Hahaha... he said he should have silenced me...hahah. I laughed for an entire 5 minutes after he told me that, it was THAT funny.

Oops, got to go or I'll be late!

Rag Day recap is not up yet... I'll get to it.

Today was crazy shopping day. My purchases - A pair of flowy pants from Cineleisure, a top from Urban and Co., 2 pairs of earrings from Bits and Pieces, a wallet from M)phosis, 5 books from MPH (I was weak, they were having 20% off storewide!).

I bought Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, Mill on the Floss by George Elliot, Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton, Selected Tales of Edgar Allan Poe and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

*Loves her new books. I can't wait to start reading... hm... MPH is having the sale till tomorrow. Maybe I'll go down tmr to buy more.

I'm really shopping too much! Just bought track pants, and a dress in the last week and then I'm planning to buy another pair of linen pants and sneakers in the coming weeks. Also am planning to buy 2 bags. I'm so broke. :(

Okay, I’ve done most of my bidding of my modules and stuff. Now it’s sit back and pray that I get my tutorial balloting okay. Come to think of it, bidding isn’t so bad after all, it instils a kind of independence and responsibility for our own education. I like it.

SoCrazyBusy!

And I'm not even going to my O Week events. I think it'll die down when school starts. I hope so.

Anyway, Monday was... well Monday. Monday was Rag as usual. I went home for dinner cause it was ages since I last had dinner at home. Then went back to school. Hm. Later Jayce drove us FongSeng for supper with some other OG girls and seniors (Andy, RuiDe, Robin, Wilfred, Leroy and KianHo). There were about 15 of us there... Yeah. Anyway, I don't know what's so great about the cheese prata there. The last time I ate it I felt a little nauseous. I think cheese in the middle of the night is a little weird. Slept over in school (again) cause we have flag day the next day.

Flag Day! A serious rant.

I think I've done flag day consecutively for 6 years. So you can see why I’m not really enthusiastic about it. Anyway I was in a group with Val, PeiLing and MingYao. My unenthusiastic response came from the fact that we are flagging at Borna Vista. What kind of a place is that! It’s nopeoplesville!

Blah… so it was extremely boring. What else? We had to wait for some flag off thingy with the Dean and Asst. Dean. It is some sort of ceremony where he waves a flag and we go off. And since we are going off to flag at Borna Vista, which is really near, we had to attend the flag off. Also, they put some coins in our tins for good luck. The Dean, Christopher Tang came and was talking to us, and he took my tin from me, and started putting coins in. And didn’t stop. Like, he had an entire handful of coins and was just putting it in. The Asst. Dean was like ‘you should spread out’, but he was talking and didn’ hear her, so I had about half of the coins they were going to distribute. Heh. The others there didn’t believe their eyes. Andy was like ‘Wah, you ‘tan dio’’ Heh heh. By the time the dean realised what he was doing? He was really shocked hahah.

Oh, BV is a nice place to flag ONLY in the mornings for the morning rush. After that, it becomes the deadest place in the world. Val and I went to the MRT station and Peiling and MingYao went to ACJC. I don’t get the ‘going to JC to flag’ thingy. Firstly, isn’t that illegal? Secondly, even if it isn’t, what’s the point? Is there going to be a crowd there? Huh. I don’t understand. I’ll never understand. I thought Val and I were smarter to stand at the bridge connected to the station. Lots of traffic, and it’s the nearest you could stand.

A science fac hunk whom I had eye contact with for quite some time walked over… then turned to Val and donated to her. They chatted!!! :\:\ Not fair!!! I had the 5 seconds eye contact! Hahahha… He’s more of Val’s type anyway, seriously tanned and super sporty type. Haha… Oh… MyType came to me, asked me how much do I want him to donate. Was kind of cute. Hee. Val says I should have told him, ‘No need to donate, just your number will be fine’ Heh. Another student-guy also asked me how much do I want him to donate. Huh. What’s with that question?

Later we met up with PL and MY, went to some weird place where there is no traffic at all. Blah. Then we went over to Holland V, where there is more traffic. Met a lot of people. Very nice and generous people, very good-natured people, very amiable people. And People Who Stink.

The following paragraph is going to be offensive to some people. I don’t give a damn if you don’t like it. I’ve made it clear.
Val and I were so frustrated on occasions because people just ignore us and walk on. Also, there are the Ignorant Juvenile People. Those who don’t donate cause they think it’s funds for NUS, and since they are from other universities (read NTU), they feel it will be unpatriotic. How freaking stupid can these people be? Can’t they read? The beneficiaries were written right there, in their faces. AWWA, Fei Yue Family Counselling centre etc. And these beneficiaries are Non Government aided, that’s why we were raising funds. It just happens we are from NUS. Excuse me, our school isn’t like yours in the sense that we raise money for ourselves. We happen to be civic minded. A woman actually went ‘You’re not from my school, I’m from NTU. I won’t donate’. And in a really condescending tone also. Funny thing is that I didn’t even approach her. I was just standing there taking a break. Another guy was like ‘Oh NUS… But I’m from NTU’. I can’t believe their stupidity and ignorance.

I am not condemning the entire NTU population because I know people like these are a minority.

Hmm… Then later Val and went to NJC cause she wanted to visit her teacher. We then got a ride with Jayce who drove over with Cheryl. He then drove us around thinking of the places we could flag. In the end we went to CMPB, where Jayce said would be a good location. What do you know, he was right. :) The people there were more willing to donate than at the MRT or Holland V. 8 out of 10 people donated… too bad the crowd only lasted from 5-6. Val was saying Jayce was really nice; he kept asking us not to be so sad even when the results are not so good. It was quite funny actually. He’d be like ‘Don’t be so sad’… I don’t know... it sounds funny.

HMmm… then we went to Ikea for dinner. I think on the way to Ikea was about when MingYao called Val to find out where Val and I were. Val said he sounded pissed… I don’t know why either. I think it’s good that we are being proactive by going somewhere else to flag, not stuck in that place with no traffic. Val and I talked it over, and I called MingYao to ask if we could go back later, as Jayce said Toh Payoh is good to flag. I think he got angry after that, I also think that the relationship between them is a little strained. I said we weren’t with Jayce and didn’t know where Jayce was. I don’t know… It was a very weird and tense moment.

Oh then we went to Toh Payoh, where JunMing and co were. Toh Payoh has several nice people and one freaking asshole jerk. (My language is absolutely charming ain’t it?)… was alright. Oh… KaiAn still insists on calling me Valerie. HaHAh… Old joke.

Ended late… am so tired. I got to go to school now. Later.

I am going to be quite busy these few days, so this blog's going to be a little neglected until I find some time. Hopefully I can squeeze in something by Wednesday.

Was at Causeway Point with SL yesterday. Haircut at Jean Yip. It's... a little too straight for my liking. The stylist knows that I have a natural wave sort of thing, and assumed that I MUST love straight hair. So she made it really straight. I look sort of strange now. Even after sleeping on it, it's still so straight. I want my wavy hair back!!! :( And... well, it's so short now. GRaH... I can't stand it.

People have always recognised me by my hair. Not that it's exceptionally gorgeous or whatever, but because it's long, it has volume and it just defines me. Now I look... so normal. :\ :\ I can't wait for it to grow long. Oh please do.

Oh yeah! I got myself trackpants from Giodano! :D:D:D So happy. Must tell Cher about it.

I didn't go for Jayce's bbq yesterday. One, it's at Changi. Two, I have a dinner. Hope he liked what we got him. Actually I have no idea what Val and Cher got him, but I assumed they did. They better, cause I msged him saying 'hope you like what we got you'. It'll be really weird if they didn't get anything after all. Oh. Yeah, he said he liked it. Just got off from the phone with Val. Yes, they got him surf shorts.

Ha ha... Kingsley is so funny. Yeah, we do share the same sentiment that he (not Kings!)... is like... well, a loser. Not in a horrible sense or anything. Oh well, I know it's not nice to call someone a loser, but still.

Apparently Kings didn't get my sms! But I could receive what he sent me. That's weird. Singtel (or my cell that has been run over by a car) is screwed up. BleaH. Oh I'm excited! Ricardo (friend of Sam's) says that Singtel's offering free incoming!!! I'm upgrading!

ARgH. I have flag day tomorrow. :( :\ I totally hate it, what with doing it for 6 years consecutively, then come uni, I have to do it too? :\ BleAH. I think the funn-est flag day has got to be the one where I went out with the band people. Ting, WeiYuan and others. That was too fun man! We sat around coffee places, bought some stuff. Then we returned cans with about 45 cents in it. Lol.

Aiight, I have to head off for school.

Oh oh... a plug before I go. Check out Goo Goo Dolls, song called Slide. Old song, but it's rockin. And also! There's this Swatch advert for Swatch Together. The song playing in the background is Five for Fighting, Something about you.

Things I have to do today.

*Call Bras Basah for quote for sponsor logos.
*Meet up with Janet to edit sponsor logos
*Call Fujitsu for my new lappie :D (so excited!)
